Re: UPDATE PACK 8 FEEDBACK THREAD

My monitor wouldn't resume from sleep. Removing gnome-screensaver seems to have fixed it.

My desktop started locking up. I restarted the session and noticed 3 cinnamon processes running. Not sure how that happened; rebooting fixed it.

You can remove ruby1.8, libruby1.8. It's EOL.

I can't either. Sorry for the false alarm; reading more closely, the bug report places the problem in a different revision. [changelog]

nemo-terminal : Depends: gir1.2-glib-2.0 (>= 1.38.0~) but 1.36.0-2+b1 is installed.
I guess the 1.38 dep came from saucy -- sid still has 1.36.

Re: no dependency information for libGL.so

I got the error building cinnamon-session . Setting this variable to pass the option to dh_shlibdeps fixes the problem: export DEB_DH_SHLIBDEPS_ARGS_ALL=--dpkg-shlibdeps-params=--ignore-missing-info http://stackoverflow.com/a/19396446 It's a good idea to unset DEB_DH_SHLIBDEPS_ARGS_ALL be...

Re: Upgrade Warnings: LMDE tracking TESTING [12-08-13]

Hi guys, dose anyone have a solution for the Cinnamon removal when doing a dist-upgrade (how to make a dist-upgrade with out removing Cinnamon)? Gnome 3.8 breaks the current release of Cinnamon (1.8 ). You should use apt-get upgrade / aptitude safe-upgrade until LMDE gets Cinnamon 2.0 (sometime aft...

Re: Upgrade Warnings: LMDE tracking TESTING [13-06-13]

I can confirm these updates crash Cinnamon, even with libgtk-3-0 held. It runs fallback mode, after a massive delay (several minutes!). False alarm. I forgot there was a kernel upgrade, and hadn't run sgfxi. Dadblammit. Cinnamon is OK with libgtk-3-0 held.
