Re: No Root password needed for Mint?
Okay. I see that I can do the terminal as root but how do I go about saving and creating the launcher? I don't know if your Debian testing is set up the same as Mint 17.3 xfce, but there you don't have to make a launcher, you already have one. Just go to /usr/share/applications and copy the Root Te...

Okay. I see that I can do the terminal as root but how do I go about saving and creating the launcher? I'm having trouble getting a launcher to take. Keep coming back w/o finding a child. For some reason I can't seem to get the launcher right.
Here is what I have setup on my Debian Testing.

Re: No Root password needed for Mint?
Thanks. Couldn't remember. Lost notes on that. Created twice but forgot.
Will also need to check the icons to see what can use to distinguish between the two so I won't be hitting wrong one needing other.

Re: No Root password needed for Mint?
I've already setup Root sign in for Thunar and I have Root sign in setup for texts in the files.Odin and Freyja. I just need to fix up my terminal for root and get it ready. Need to find a good icon for it also. I love having separate terminals That way I never worry about where I'm at. If I'...

Re: No Root password needed for Mint?
That being the case then I can go and change my user password and then the original will be 'root'. Okay. That's great. What I'm looking for. Now I can have a separate password in my short cuts in going to root in Thunar and in the txt files. That's wonderful. Will keep someone from messing with cha...

Re: Firefox 27.0 crashes on .pdf and some websites

Re: Mate using Intel's drivers
That's why I was wondering about the Bumblebee bit. Didn't sound right when I was using LMDE Mate. Like Mate so far. TB was acting up saying to do the update then when you click okay it would sit there trying to go to some server. See that there is an issue with that. One fix is to go in as root and...

Re: Mate using Intel's drivers
Are you sure you don't have hybrid graphics? Nvidia driver install is sudo apt-get install nvidia-current Looking at the Hardware code again. It does seem to be hybrid. You need to look at the bumblebee project I think https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bumblebee How can you tell hybrid? But isn't Bumblebee f...

SOLVED Mate using Intel's drivers
Marking as 'solved'. Had gone to something else after the incident of the upgrade that time where it got toasted. But while using I let it choose what it wanted and was happy with. Worked fine. DDM.png On my laptop I installed Mate. I noticed that it's using my Intel Graphics. I would had assumed th...

Re: Disk error 32
Thanks for the response. I'll try to download from the Dr. Server this weekend and see what happens then. Just do another download, md5 sum check it and then burn to CD and hope that all turns out right before giving to neighbor right?
