Re: I need the ISO for the stable mint

i think you meant 201011 for 64 bit and 201101 for 32 bit it would be newer and still can do your directions to get squeeze Actually, if the OP used the newer spins, he might have the same issues he is having now, as the newer spins have been updated since the last spin for the .ISOs. If the OP use...

Re: Network Printers print page with a 2cm margin on left

You need to go to the printer properties in Linux and set the page to use from A4 to LETTER / 8.5 x 11.
That will solve your printing off-center issue.

As for low quality of the text print, again, go to the printer properties and set the quality to your liking.

Re: DVD Playback on Apex DVD/VCD player NOT Working

DVD Playback on Apex DVD/VCD player NOT Working That is the problem right there. I burn DVD's on my Linux LMDE and every once in a great while my GF's Apex DVD player will not play them, skips or errors out. The problem is not the burned disc rather it is the Apex player. They are known for not pla...

Just want to make sure I'm not doing something stupid and dangerous. Below is what my fstab looks like: # /etc/fstab: static file system information. # # Use 'vol_id --uuid' to print the universally unique identifier for a # device; this may be used with UUID= as a more robust way to name devices #...

Re: automatically update everything not just security update

As this is a rolling distro how can i set the updates to automatically down load and install all updates for all packages not just security updates? Is this possible? No. Only Security Updates can be installed automatically. I just looked at the setting in the Synaptic Package Manager and the choic...

Re: How to install LM10 icons in LMDE?

I've just installed LMDE and I've used LM10 from a Live CD and noticed that the LM10 version has a slightly different set of icons, notably Firefox, Thunderbird, Sound and Monitors on the main Mint menu. How do I install those icons from LM10 into LMDE? These icons are also in the repos. Make sure ...

Re: J-Pilot Issue, Round 2 [SOLVED by Julia x64]

You may need to add yourself to the lp, lpadmin, and sys groups. I had several issues with printing under LMDE, mostly that the printer would work after installation, but would quit. Adding myself to those groups solved my printing problems. Thanks for the tip on adding myself to the above groups. ...

Re: J-Pilot Issue, Round 2

Still no clue as to why J-Pilot would not print from my printer or save a file to my drive (LMDE x64). So at 3 AM this morning, I fired up LM Julia, deleted several .gnome folders under my user name and proceeded to install LM 10 Julia x64. After it was installed, and all the updates and all my prog...

J-Pilot Issue Round 2

Well, I don't know. All I can say is that printing from JPilot works in LMDE for me, both to file and directly to the printer. I have done a complete re-install of LMDE64 and Jpilot will not pring, will not print to file and will not export to ical. Does anyone have any suggestions, other than RTFM...

Re: J-Pilot Issue

Are you sure you have the correct default printer set? I don't see a way to print to anything other than the default. What I use is "cat > calendar.ps" for printing to a file. That works for me. Using just "lpr" works for printing directly to the printer, but I have to set the correct default print...

Re: J-Pilot Issue

I've never even tried printing directly from JPilot to the printer. The default on mine is to print to a file, and it does that fine, and I can open the .ps postscript file with the document viewer and print from it. Are you sure you have the correct settings in the print dialog? From what I have r...

J-Pilot Issue, Round 2 [SOLVED by Julia x64]

Prior to having to do a re-install of LMDE 64-bit, I was able to print any calendar from it, both under 32-bit and most recently under 64-bit. Now with the re-install, and currently frozen at "Squeeze" due to an incompatibility with Liquorix and a newer file, I am baffled. I have not upgraded to the...

Open a terminal and type winff What does it say exactly when you do? I just did a re-install to x64 tonight and installed WinFF. Below is what I got from trying to start in terminal. transitman@uss-lexington ~ $ winff Runtime error 203 at $00000000004A7C96 $00000000004A7C96 $0000000000491F01
