Re: Linux v.s. Mac v.s. Linux

Bubba, MacOS is a great OS and very stable. Yet, after using Apple hardware and software for the better part of the past 25 years, I got tired of paying top dollar for hardware and for OS and software updates. I especially am very tired of the Apple hype; i.e., i-this and i-that. I like the fact tha...

Re: Apple Magic Mouse and Mac Keyboard driver?

probably not a dedicated one but I think they are both bluetooth so just go to "bluetooth" in the menu and see if you can find and pair them, it should do the rest on its own. You may have to go to keyboard settings to change the layout of the keyboard to match the apple one. For some odd reason, b...

Re: Linux v.s. Mac v.s. Linux

Re: What music player do you use on linux?

I've tried Rhythm Box and Amarok, but prefer Banshee and Exaile...now, if I could only get Exaile's radio to work (which it did once upon a time)!

GREETINGS FROM LITTLE RHODY

Although I'm long-time Mac user, I've also experimented with Linux and open source apps. Recently, I began to compare Debian, Ubuntu and, for a short while, ran them and and Linux Mint alongside my Mac OS. But the more I used Linux Mint (I'm running 9/Fluxbox on my iMac and 10/Julia on my MacBook), ...

printer settings puzzle [SOLVED]

I have a puzzling situation in getting my Canon Pixma iP4300 printer to work with Mint 9 and the problem does not appear to be the printer. The printer is connected to my wireless router and I'm able to print from both computers wirelessly: a fairly new dual core iMac (Mac OS 10.6.5, Ubuntu 10.04, a...
