I was in same position, but i did something else: on quick: install debian squeeze (live cd), upgrade, add linuxmint repos, install mint-meta-debian and i'm enjoying same system as lmde :) but stable as debian squeeze is. where can i download the old debian stable version of this system? I lost the ISO files, and i don't want to deal with update packs, sounds like it would be imposable to install files from the repos. They should release a stable release, maybe every 6 months update the non system software.... like ...

i am sorry, im totally new and have no understand on how linux work. i just make new file called "Direct3D.reg" in any location on disk? and do i just wright "regedit Direct3D.reg" or i should add file location like so "regedit /home/Direct3D.reg"? thanks for help, and sorry for my stupid questions...

Try: sudo aptitude upgrade it helps with some suggestions :) Ok.. will try it, though I tried it before... and I think this was where I got the text file I mentioned above which I believe were errors. aptitude: Running it with no arguments brings up a beautiful interface to search, navigate, instal...

the main edition based on Ubuntu will always ask for it unless the given application is already running in Super User mode (as is the case with Mint Update once it's been reloaded in SU mode.)
