All root notices and software in spanish
I installed the Spanish language support which did not work for what i wanted so I uninstalled it. Now all of my root notices, update manager, synaptic and other things are in Spanish. I did a search for "spanish" and deleted all files I found there. How do I get rid of the Spanish? Thanks.

Re: Changing menu-items
If you don't have it, install "alacarte". It will be installed as "Main Menu" under Other. Open that, go to Applications>Office>New Item>Name>type in Thunderbird>command>type in thunderbird>ok That will place Thunderbird into your Office section. Now click on Internet under Appli...

Re: LinuxMint12/Gnome3 Assessment
I, too, was at first put off by Gnome3 but after a week of using and tweaking it, am accepting it happily.

Re: Gnome-3 "Shell Extensions"
The Gnome extension page says I can look in System Settings/System Info to see what version of Gnome I have. I looked - it does not say anything about Gnome there. When I look in the Shell Extensions tab of the tweak tool, it shows a blank page, unlike on my desktop where there are a bunch of on/of...

Re: Run win virtually on Mint
In dual boot, you can run either operating system but not in a window in the other.
You can download VirtualBox in LM and install Windows 7 into it.
That would allow you to run Windows 7 in a separate window inside LinuxMint.

Re: Linux Mint KDE news
I mentioned this in another thread, but it is worth repeating. I installed the final release of LM12, then installed "KDE-Full". I now have the ability to boot into any of the desktop versions, and KDE 4.7.2 (which is what I use most often) has none of the issues you read about in the for...

Re: Disable duplicate menu entries in Gnome Shell
When unchecking items in alacarte, you need to burrow down into each and every subfolder, uncheck those items and then it will allow you to uncheck the main folder. By doing this in the Debian folder, you will eliminate the double icons.

Xournal is in the repositories. Works great.
Foxit puts a watermark on your saved filled out document whereas Xournal does not.
