Duplicate listings Rhythmbox

Linux Mint 10 on Lenovo X60 laptop. I have my music at /home/me/music/artist/album/etc. If I open a folder in Decibel Audio Player and add it to a playlist it works fine. I use that for some spoken word files. For music I want to use Rhythmbox which plays the music just fine and has album art, etc. ...

Re: How I got hibernate to work

Thanks disko! That worked for me too. Note: this thread should be sticky Don't know if thread is "sticky". I'm guessing that means permanent? Anyway, all my UUID's matched and here's what happens at last step: kenneth@kenneth-ThinkPad-X60 ~ $ sudo update-initramfs /u Invalid argument for option -k....

Re: Netgear WNDR3400 router usb hard drive support

Please correct me if I'm wrong . . but don't you log into the router to set up the attached usb drive ? the drive will have an ip address given to it from the router, and then easy to locate from your linux machine. Yes, and I've logged into the router from Win7 and Linux Mint. The "advanced settin...

Re: Thunderbird and 64 bit Mint - tips for install from tarb

I had to add a repository before upgrading from 3.1.4 to 3.1.8 and getting to 3.1.9 was a typical "Linux adventure" involving tarring, copying files as admin, and editing. But it works! :P

Re: Thunderbird and 64 bit Mint - tips for install from tarb

I have solved both the timeout problem...the fault lay in my own lap. I hadn't checked the server configurations relying upon them staying the same when migrating from Windows to Linux. As for the upgrade from TBird 3.1.4 I did it in stages. First I found a repository with TBird 3.1.8 which installe...

Re: Thunderbird and 64 bit Mint - tips for install from tarb

I have been having a problem with Thunderbird 3.1.4 timing out in just 10 seconds no matter what I set the timeout at. I couldn't figure out how to install 3.1.9 after I downloaded it, although I got a reply that probably would have worked. I just ran the sudo apt...etc command here and it downloade...

Re: KeePass2 & Mono

Hello! I have been trying to get KeePass2 working with mono. I have installed all of the mono packages as well as xdotool and when I use mono to run the exe, all I get is a button on the taskbar that I can't do anything with. I have to go into system monitor to close mono to stop the program or can...
