Re: Mint users on Ubuntu forums

More ubuntu users, more support over that way. Just saying, one experience doesn't define an entire forum or the support community behind a distro. Since installing mint ( after I tried and got rid of ubuntu 10.10 ). Have been jumping back and forth between the major forums for both distro's. More t...

Re: I LOVE Mint

lol ... just posted my own brown nose post about luving mint too. :D Feel about the same way you do. Supporting linux with a user friendly GUI, should bring people flocking to it. Even if they never really learn ( I actually intend to ) all the stuff that's under the hood of the OS. Kind of agree wi...

Re: Luving Mint 10

Always had a theory. The linux crowd tends to attract the higher IQ folks, it's like atheism in religion. Tend to think the brighter crowd will all eventually migrate to linux. A distro like this definitely encourages more people to make the switch imo. Summin tells me the developers behind the linu...

Luving Mint 10

Just started the linux journey and the road to get away from all things Micro$tinks related. Think I've found a great linux distro in Mint 10. It's every bit as user friendly in it's GUI, as anything winblows. Though seems to have so many more capabilities and options than anything M$ makes. Just an...

Re: new to mint ... need some help.

I said some terrible things about ubuntu and linux da other day. Though swore I would never give up. So reinstalled mint over ubuntu and am actually really growing fond of it. Makes more sense once someone slows down and looks things over. Once again firm in my belief that Linux deserves to be crown...

Re: new to mint ... need some help.

Also what happens if I try to overwrite mint with a fresh install from the liveCD in the partition it's installed on ? Would it restore it the way it was when I first started monkeying around ? Would sure appreciate some assistance. It's long since time I cut ties with microsoft. Don't want to use t...

new to mint ... need some help.

Heard so many great things about ubuntu, then more great things about it's cousin linux mint. Tired and disgusted with microsoft, so decided to take the plunge. Other than being more or less lost in how to do most things, lol. Think it's a cool operating system. But I'm having one really strange pro...
