Re: Grub2 doesn't add gfxmode for other linux entries

Thanks, I used grub-customizer in the past but I had some problems like install grub on wrong disk. I managed to boot with graphical plymouth by edit the /boot/grub/grub.cfg directly and add there the "gfxmode $linux_gfx_mode" line but I' d like grub to add this line automatically for every linux in...

Re: Grub2 doesn't add gfxmode for other linux entries

Update the ubuntu's grub.cfg doesn't make any difference and I want to keep using mint's grub which already themed and configured. Also the GFXMODE is already setted and doesn't solve the problem. Seems that because of the NVidia's proprietary drivers needed to have the line "gfxmode $linux_gfx_mode...

Grub2 doesn't add gfxmode for other linux entries

I have a triple boot system with mint, ubuntu and Windows. Grub can find all of them and boot fine, but only the Mint installation uses gfxmode. So Ubuntu only displays the text version of plymouth splash. In Mint's entry there is a line gfxmode $linux_gfx_mode which seems that is responcible for th...

Re: How to change keyboard language on login screen??

I found easier to reinstall and choose english, but now I have another problem. I cannot change the interface language, the Language option is missed from control center.

EDIT:
Seems that this can change only by dpkg-reconfigure locales, and still many elements are in english, included mintmenu

Re: Linux Mint Debian 201204 RC (MATE/Cinnamon & Xfce) relea

Re: Mint 12 Tips & Tricks Guide (updated Dec 6)

How to increase font size in the top and bottom panels of the gnome-shell? The font-size is really small. The fonts in advanced settings panel do no affect these. I assume it has to be edited in the css, but which property? Thanks, Top panel: #panel { border: 1px solid rgba(255,255,255,0.2); border...

Re: I haven't .bashrc!!

Thanks for all answers.
In fact I use a separate home partition and I had a .bashrc from another previous distro.
So I used this. At first have some display unicode characters problems, but when I saved the file as UTF-8 format solved.
All seems to be fine now
Thanks again.

I haven't .bashrc!!

Hello,
I recently install linux mint 12, I wanted to put an export path command for adb.
But there isn't a .bashrc file in my user directory. I have only .bash_logout and .bash_history.
Is there any change on mint 12 about bash?
Any way to fix this?

Re: How can I install local deb packages?

Hello,
I've accidentally associate deb files to open with another app.
How can I reassociate them to open with the default installer??

EDIT:
Solved!
For some reason the gdebi app was uninstalled, I reinstalled it and now all are back to normal
