Re: Another DE option for Mint 12 - Cinnamon
- Cinnamon will work with Cinnamon extensions but not with Gnome Shell extensions. It will be easy to port Gnome Shell extensions to Cinnamon of course, and we will also provide additional functionalities to extension developers (the ability for extensions to load themselves in a particular order f...

Re: Updated extension: gnome-shell-reflection
Just wanted people to know that gnome-shell-reflection extension was updated yesterday. This is the extension that moves the top bar to the bottom. It looks like the updates solve a couple of problems - one with the message area and one with the hot corners. I don't think it will be necessary to ha...

Re: Get classic Mint desktop in Gnome shell
Well... we don't have to tweak the windowlist extension anymore... there's a new extension available at Shell Extensions Alpha to get the windows list the way we want!!! Navigate to that link using Firefox and you'll be able to install "Extend left box" extension just clicking the on/off ...

OK, with some delay. I'm uploaded a new version of my extensions(In fact they are a modified versions). Included mint menu 1.1.5 ver. Re: Get classic Mint desktop in Gnome shell
Hmmm... now what about Daniel's Mint Menu 2? :) As I said before: please do the tweaking by yourself editing your own files. That's the only way you will have an updated extension working. We used to share some extension files because we were experimenting (those were "RC times") and that...

Re: Mint Menu Disappeared in Gnome 3
Bug filed: https://github.com/linuxmint/MGSE/issues/25 Maybe it's a bit stupid but did you tried manually copy the menu extension from /usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions/ in the Home folder /.local/share/gnome-shell /extensions/. Re: Get classic Mint desktop in Gnome shell
I'm hoping Fallback will make it to the LTS releases next Spring, or that by then both MGSE and MATE are much more mature and are ready to fully replace Gnome 2 and Gnome 3 Fallback. KBD47 I also hope, but for me Linux Mint 12 works flawless with MGSE. I have moved the extensions as described in th...

Re: How to move top panel to bottom?
Well, I'm not sure. The top panel can be hidden, but now I do not know how. Have you tried to install docky? Last time I used the dock in elementaryOS 0.1. GreetingUnlimited2K11 wrote:Thanks for your reply! Moved it back up^^
Is there any way to remove that top panel for good and use a dock instead?

Re: How to move top panel to bottom?
I successfully moved the top bar to the bottom, but adding the "auto-hide-feature" makes the new bottom-panel to hide "upwards" (as it would at the top). How do I revert that? Thanks  I do not use "auto-hide feature." Is this an additional extension (autohide ext...

Re: Get classic Mint desktop in Gnome shell
Well, here are two little things that can be helpful to someone. For example, if you have too many extensions installed, their preview in Gnome tweak tool is relatively bad. You can edit: gksudo gedit /usr/share/gnome-tweak-tool/shell.ui and change a few property settings such as: <property name=&qu...

Re: How to move top panel to bottom?
Simple, you use Reflection extension that can download here https://github.com/ahdiaz/gnome-shell-reflection/downloads . You have a topic for this here http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=205&t=85775 . Extract the contents in location of .local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/ (in Home loca...

Re: Get classic Mint desktop in Gnome shell
Hi, I have some problems with the mint menu and reflection extensions. The mint menu doesn't show in the right direction, it shows down the bottom panel so I can't see it. When I turn off then turn on the reflection extension, the mint menu works correctly. But when I restart gnome shell or the pc,...

Re: Get classic Mint desktop in Gnome shell
@esteban1uy Just got a chance to install the GSE weather. How do I flip the details weather to display above the panel? Re: Get classic Mint desktop in Gnome shell
Ok, let's make it work... Go to the author's page , go to "downloads" and get the zip file. Inside is a README file with instructions to compile the applet and install it. Don't worry, it is very simple! Uhhh...the README file has an .md extension. I can't open it. Open it on the web site...
