Re: Help getting this GPG Error...

launchpad-getkeys has finished importing all missing GPG keys.
it did its job and added all launchpad update keys.

show me the screen shot of the update window refreshed please.

Edit: this PPA you added ? What is it for ?

Kuz launchpad does not list it ANYWHERE.

Thus, a removed PPA source.

Re: Can't run Mint 11 DVD - Weird screen. Black rectangles

what your going to want to do is create a USB install disk with persistence. Boot with nomodeset , then install Nvidia / ati drivers etc. Restart and wala, rez and full GPU support. You can still install from a usb live drive with persistence. Now your going to ask HOW to do this ? Linux = startup d...

Code: Select all

sudo modprobe b43
dmesg | grep b43
iwconfig

Code: Select all

sudo su
echo b43 >> /etc/modules
exit
Made easy

if your wireless card isn't enabled, then it isn't supported via b43.

I now have 631 clients in my little market converted to Linux. Just takes want and desire with some real effort. Wish more would ...

Re: ATI x1650 works well but without dual monitors

noticed the same on many ATI cards. clone works fine. But dual view is none existent . Clearly a driver issue. Dual view works with nvidia, but not very well lol. You can FORCE dual view, kinda. But result is a broken xorg.config . You will end up booting via safe graphics recovery mode. Been there ...

Re: Hi, from Brooklyn, NY

Just contact the manufacture and ask for the disk. Asking for some one else's windows disk or restore disk with windows on it. Is in fact against the law and licensing agreement. Written in the fine print, but it is there . Do them a favor and just remove the windows sticker and sale it Linux only. ...
