Re: Mint 11 crashes when I play video or DVD

It isnt Mint 11.

Most likely driver / kernel / firmware related per hardware used.

The guys here will ask, but your hardware is ?

with what GPU driver ?

What kernel ?

Re: Memory Leak in mintupdate discovered

Just a little thought.

Update stays in the Notification area till you right click on it and close it. It then releases the memory used.

As long as it is in the notification area, resources used will continue to be used. Until closed completely out and not just minimized.

Re: Gnome3

I was able to get it stable enough to be quite usable. Don't care for it much thou. Trick was mostly just updates and theming it out. 99% of it was getting it fully updated. http://news.softpedia.com/news/How-to-Install-GNOME-3-on-Ubuntu-11-04-194085.shtml Thats just the start. packages will need re...

So it clearly is system based issue. More then likely driver for the hardware. ...

Re: You can't deny that Mint 11 looks horribly dated now

Were I stand. Mint 11 default looks spot on. Clients seem to quite like the default look. I have yet to find a single client that likes Unity in the slightest. I cant stand unity in any shape or form. Clients take one look at unity and get frustrated on the spot. It takes very little effort to theme...
