Hi

I don't know.

Re: Fonts

I've just installed Mint and think that, perhaps, not all fonts are installed. I know this because, when I had Ubuntu installed yesterday, I had fonts installed and can see the difference in websites. Do I need to install any font packs? (Don't shoot me. I'm new to Mint.) Maybe you need the MS font...

Re: Network

Just a question:
Sure there aren't a network antivirus in your network?
It's the best solution; every files passing through the net scanned by a central antivirus.

Re: Unable To Transfer 1.6 TB Of Data (Error Messages Inside

For a so big transfer I can only suggest rsync. It hang on the right wrong (sorry for the collision ^__^) file/s and you can get the real problem.

So I installed Linux Mint in a VM. That went well. I then installed VMWare tools, which apparently succeeded, kind of. And you're working on windows right? What version? I get some messages like "the filesystem driver (vmhgfs module) is used only for the shared folder feature". It also says that I ...

Re: Linux Kernel Power Problems

I mainly posted that link for the big warning at the bottom. Alternatively go into the gru...

Re: Linux Kernel Power Problems

@remoulder Thanks It say: ASPM policies are set in /sys/module/pcie_aspm/parameters/policy, but can also be specified at boot time with the pcie_aspm kernel parameter, where pcie_aspm=off disables ASPM and pcie_aspm=force enables ASPM, even on devices that do not support ASPM. Good. I will try it. H...

Re: tapping and double tapping!

I don't use a laptop myself, but I remember that there used to be a setting for the touchpad that you could choose with regards to taps. for example if you have inadvertently chosen a single tap for right click you will probably get the drop down menu. Don't know if this is what your problem is, bu...
