Re: Linux Mint 20 “Ulyana” Xfce released!

Hello. the new XFCE desktop environment version 4.16 will be released soon. Will it be included in a future update to Mint 20 ? Thank you Not in a regular update but you can expect it in Linux Mint 20.1 or 20.2. There's a minor release like that every 6 months and if a Xfce stable release is done i...

Als die website betaald heeft voor de rechten om downloaden toe te staan dan zou er wel een download knop op de website staan.

Re: GNOME 3.38 do we have it?

No. Linux Mint 20 is based on Ubuntu 20.04 which has GNOME 3.36 and that won't be upgraded (only patched where needed to fix high impact security issues). Future Ubuntu versions will have GNOME 3.38 but you won't see that in Linux Mint till mid 2022 with Linux Mint 21. Even if you got it earlier I d...

Re: Theme server down

The spices website https://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/ from which also themes are downloaded is undergoing a server migration. If you click through on the website you'll see a notice about this and estimation it will take till end of week. If I see any updates from Clem about this I'll share it h...

Howdy folks. Both packages.linuxmint.com servers are back up now. That should solve this issue for all.

Re: for lm20 upgrade, how to downgrade gm10's mint-common,mozo

I don't know how to fix hostile dpkg diversions. As a last resort I suggest removing mint-common with apt purge mint-common and then installing it anew (the good version). Before you press Y to proceed on that command, make a note of which other packages it will remove. That will probably be about 1...

Re: for lm20 upgrade, how to downgrade gm10's mint-common,mozo

Do you have mintupdate still installed from gm10's repository? If unsure, check with: apt policy mintupdate You should have version 5.5.9 from Linux Mint repository or mirror. If you have gm10's mintupdate I think the solution is to downgrade mint-common and mintupdate at the same time. So try maybe...

Re: for lm20 upgrade, how to downgrade gm10's mint-common,mozo

This is unrelated to files being used while booted from your system. Probably something in the package removal script that's flaky. Can you give us the long list output of the files: ls -l /usr/bin/mint-refresh-cache /usr/bin/mint-refresh-cache.mint-common And for which of the files exists, the pack...

Thanks for making a mirror available for Linux Mint users in your area! I see you've already emailed root@linuxmint.com which is the correct process. Re: "Back in My Day" we used to be customize the .css file

Welcome back. Suggest you add (or to your signature) which desktop environment you are using as likely how to theme it differs between Cinnamon, MATE and Xfce. And I think it would be helpful if you specify what parts of the UI you want to make look differently as certain parts of the UI will be sty...
