Sound Problem

While playing BZFlag (3D tank game), sound cuts off. I have been running Gloria 64 and had no problems. Installed both 32 and 64 bit Helena and it cuts off after about 5 - 10 minutes. Everything else continues as normal.

Any ideas what could be happening? Anyone else having sound problems?

Thanks.

Sound problems

Sound works when I first start Mint KDE, but crashes at some point after. I get a message that HDS Intel Alc888 Analog doesn't work. Why is it using analog (is it supposed to)? Why does it keep crashing? I have had no problems whatsoever with sound in the gnome 32 or 64 bit version of Mint. Thanks. ...

Re: Linux Mint 7 x64 RC1 released!

I replaced my LM6 - 64 with LM7 - 64 RC1. I have already been running LM7 - 32 on another partition. I am having trouble with stability compared to LM6 - 64 which gave me no troubles. When I run the program to set the screen saver and power saving features that seems to be a problem. It completely ...

Re: Can you add Mint to Ubuntu?

I am asking because, some dude is posting that Mint isn't its own distro, but rather, Ubuntu with a few extra tools, and that you could just add mint repos. I had suggested Mint be reviewed by the main website instead of Ubuntu and this guy sort of stole the thread with this attack on my favorite di...

Can you add Mint to Ubuntu?

I read a post on another forum suggesting that you can add Mint repos to Ubuntu and convert to a Mint install. I didn't think this was possible, but wanted to check before I posted a rebuttal.

Re: Linux Mint 7 "Gloria" released!

I posted a link to Gloria in the AnandTech forum at the bottom of a question about whether they intend to ever cover Linux again. There is also a poll asking whether they should revive Linux coverage. Linux Article/ Linux Coverage So far the vote is 2 - 0 that Linux deserves coverage.

Upgrade from LM 7 RC1 not working. I enabled distribution upgrade and refreshed and it said I had an up to date system. Checked 'history of updates' and it's been since the 16th of May that it was last updated.

Re: AIR App not Installing

Ok, I looked around but still no progress, can somebody please tell me if they are having the same problem, I just want to know if this is a problem unique to my machine One problem you may have is if you are running the 64 bit edition. The AIR libraries are 32 bit only for Linux. There is a work-a...

Re: Considerations before you install

I am pretty sure I asked this question before on this or some other forum, but how do you make it so your NTFS partitions have the ability to move files to trash when you delete instead of just permanently deleting them? I know it has something to do with creating a .trash1000 folder, and something ...

Re: Linux Mint 7 RC1 released!

When installing, there is an option to make the root partition EXT4. I am not sure if this is new or if I just never noticed, but I have been reading up a bit on this and it seems to have some advantages over EXT3, like for one a defragmenting utility. Are there other performance advantages or disad...
