question about temps on gnome sensors applet

ok mint 9 main 64bit

installed the gnome sensors applet i have a few questions

1. how hot is too hot?

list:

at idle with cpu frequency scaling monitor enabled and Ondemand setting

gpu: 145F
temp1: 102F
temp2: 93F
temp3: 262F

2. on the above list which temp is what?

Mintupdate doesn't show kernel updates by default, you have to make level 4/5 visible in preferences to see them.

Latest backported lts kernel for lucid is 3.0.0-13
huh? my copy of mint 12 is still running 3.0.0-12

you can, buy a barebones case, buy whatever hardware you want, put it together, install linux mint :wink: new computer, ms doesn't get a cut :mrgreen:

Well . . . it could mean that nothing was corrupted . . or nothing was recovered . . ??? Have you noticed anything in the files or apps that you were working on when the outage occurred ? i did notice smplayer did not resume my movie that i was watching at the time, i had to start over. it normally...

ok just had a sudden unexpected power outage. When mint 9 was booting back up fsck reported something about fixing orphaned journal entries on /dev/sda3 which is my /home partition. i was just wondering if there is any way to know if any data was lost, and if it was how do i find out what it was? i ...

I just added the following line to the fstab (sudo gedit /etc/fstab) /dev/sdb1 /media/datalux ntfs The first value is the device (i got this information via GParted), the second is the mount point and the third the file system type. ok on mint 9, when setting up the clock, if you scroll to the top, you can select a time zone(in my case central). In mint 12 that appears to be missing, so what do i need to set it to, to have it be on central time :?:

It'd be great if Mint could eventually go Debian all the way and have its own desktop environment. Is there any reason why Linux Mint couldn't also have its own DE, or would that be too much work?
