vlc crash

im using lm13 mate 64

vlc seems slugish and video doesnt seem to play well. then everytime i go to shut down pc its always hanging up the system?

should i try to upgrade? whats the best way to do that? ive never had so many problems with vlc before. .. always been rock solid

i had this problem also using 64 bit google chrome which doesnt come with flash. i uninstalled mint flash and copied the flash file libflashplayer.so to
/opt/google/chrome/plugins

maybe update your flash? what browser are you using? or try out youtubes html5 test at youtube.com/html5 and hit join.

ok so im thinking its because i tried using the 64bit version of java? that doesnt have webstart? i need 32. how do i remove what i have done? it wont let me build another one. i cant figure out what i did wrong? i keep getting ice tea web start? it wont start jdownloader.

thanks for the tip on the blue output. i had never seen that before and was wondering if something was wrong with my lcd :lol: adobe sucks! :x wish we could get away from flash, but too many sites use it.

Chrome has flash built in.
not in the 64 version.

the only thing that updates for me is chrome. i never see any updates come in? im new to lmde should i run those commands instead when im looking for updates in the manager?

yeah i forgot xfce had its own screen shot. i was more curious if nautilus comes with all the xfce installs? i don't remember installing it and though it would be odd to be included on xfce.

i uninstalled logged out and back in and back to xfce desktop. that was weird simply using the gnome screenshot would take over the system like that :?

weird! i installed gnome screenshot and now gnome is my default manager? it says nautilus is installed? what? :? how do i get my xfce desktop back and uninstall all this gnome stuff?
