The major issue with Kubuntu is following 3: 1. the KCM-grub2 is not included as default. 2. unless you remove the autoboot default item after xxx seconds or hold "SHIFT", the grub menu cannot be displayed :oops: probably it is Grub2's style? :-/ It display as Ubuntu instead of Kubuntu, confusing us...

It's puzzling why the Snap Icon to Grid feature only works in Folder View mode I would hazard a guess that in the view of the KDE Devs ... and even then you cannot select the icons from the menu by right clicking and selecting Add to Desktop. I found that you have to drag and drop them to the deskt...

Thanks to hkmb42vt, manny, Fand angio, etc, I tried Kubuntu 11.10. It seems very good.

Sum up all replies above: Mint- KDE has never existed . Mint community did not and will not have any interest in using, developing and maintaining Mint-KDE. Hence, the KDE users should either get used to it or migrate to another distro. Affirmative! I appreciate the patience and kindly explanations ...

I think KDE will be released on LMDE instead of Linux Mint 11. The decision was taken to migrate our KDE and Fluxbox editions to LMDE. Going forward our project will support 2 desktops with a frozen Ubuntu base (Gnome and LXDE) and 4 desktops on top of a rolling Debian base (Gnome, KDE, Xfce and Fl...
