Re: Chromium problems in Cinnamon

Right now I am using Firefox and will try if the next updates fix these problems. Maybe it is Cinnamon related and will be solved soon.

Re: Autologin in lightdm to Cinnamon?

I have the same problem on my laptop. I tried both methods and neither did anything.

UPDATE:

Over at www.forums.debian.net I got pointed to the solution.

Code: Select all

/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/lightdm/lightdm-set-defaults -s cinnamon
will solve the problem.

Chromium problems in Cinnamon

Hey everyone. I have problems phrasing this concisely. Recently I changed my DE from Xfce to Cinnamon and I assume that the problems I will list are related to that change. Chromium is my default browser and it's acting weird in connection with other programs since the DE switch. When... - I downloa...

Re: WARNING: /tmp does not have enough disk space!

SOLVED. I figured that resizing would be a quick thing but neglected the fact that I had to free space at the beginning of /home. 2.5 hours later I can do statistics again ;-)

Thank you everyone!

Re: WARNING: /tmp does not have enough disk space!

Hey there. The trailing slash was among the many hunches I had about what I might have done wrong. Unfortunately I still didn't get it to install, but it was suggested to me to mount a USB drive as /tmp to fstab, which I'll try next. Thanks for your help and I'll post back here how the fstab approac...

WARNING: /tmp does not have enough disk space!

Hey. I'm fighting to get SPSS installed on my system after I did a fresh install. The problem which occurs during the installation (actually before I can install) is that /tmp doesn't have sufficient space: Preparing to install... WARNING: /tmp does not have enough disk space! Re: Notorious Xfce Shutdown bug

Can you confirm this behaviour or even suggest a solution? Ps. Hardware is a Thinkpad x220. Must be specific to LMDE. I'm running my X220 on something like Debian testing XFCE (Crunchbang) with the lastest Liquorix kernel and never had this problem. Perhaps you may try the Liquorix kernel . Thanks ...

Notorious Xfce Shutdown bug

Hey everyone. I hope you enjoy LMDE with your newly installed updates. I was hoping that UP4 would resolve the only bug that really annoys me with my system. Shutting down in laptop mode will always lead to a restart rather than a shutdown. This behaviour persists when I manually shut down using sud...

Re: Gnome 3.2 is in debian testing! LMDE upgrade?

Can anyone throw in a realistic guess for when UP4 could be released? Although I'm not expecting any improvements in functionality other than Xfce related glitches, I catch myself running the update command on a daily basis. :?

After I installed the liquorix kernel (3.2...) hibernate worked. I only tried it twice, but I hope that in the future there will be no more problems. Here is a howto: http://r3dux.org/2011/09/how-to-install ... l-in-lmde/

Re: IBM Touchpad T41p - Cannot shutdown/Suspend

I solved my problem! After setting up a fresh system, the shutdown problems appeared again. I am running Debian Xfce and initially I used slim desktop manager. Now there seems to be a problem with consolekit (in recent Xfce) when slim or xdm are used, whereas this problem apparently does not occur w...

Re: IBM Touchpad T41p - Cannot shutdown/Suspend

I had the latest kernel installed and the bios version was 1.24. However I gave up on it and did a reinstall. (Squeeze netinstall with LMDE sources. Runs nicely and only has exactly what I want it to have =).

Shutdowns work so far.
