Re: Shutdown problem

That might be, however I installed Mint and directly updated which included Kernel 3.0.0.1. I have just stumbled over another thread http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=70798 which supports what you say. I'll check how the old kernel behaves in this regard.

Shutdown problem

On my Lenovo x200i shutdown is not working. I took a picture of the output I get after shutting down via the graphical (Xfce) interface. I cannot really make any sense of it though. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22421642/28112011730.jpg Note that after "will now halt" the cursor blinks for a while and aft...

Re: IBM Touchpad T41p - Cannot shutdown/Suspend

Definitely not the source of my problem as the package is not installed.

Re: IBM Touchpad T41p - Cannot shutdown/Suspend

On my x220i shutdown is an issue too. I cannot even shut the laptop down using the terminal as it will always hang at some point during the process. Suspend is not working either.

WARNING

I do not know why, BUT after I applied those changes on my Thinkpad x220, boot into the system did not work. I have reverted the file to its original state via a Live environment.

So be cautious.

Re: Hibernate on ThinkPad X220i

Trying your suggested method was to no avail. I am using Standby now instead of suspend and stopped looking for a solution.

Hibernate on ThinkPad X220i

Hello, my first post in this Forum due to my only very recent change from Xubuntu to LMDE Xfce. I have a brandnew X220i which cannot use hibernate. I checked fstab and the resume file , found the UUIDs to be different and corrected that. Updated initramfs and tried again but to no success. Does anyo...
