I got: $inxi -n /usr/bin/inxi: illegal option -- n Error 7: One of the options you entered in your script parameters: -n is not supported. The option may require extra arguments to work. For supported options (and their arguments), check the help menu: inxi -h So I read t...

Re: Update Issues: debconf

Hi! Hope you slept well! Arose from my bed this morning with new determination. Followed the steps in the guide above. I've got into a loop though. I delete them with pluma, when I 'aptitude install' them the following occurs: The following NEW packages will be installed: python3 python3-apt python3...

Hi,

I edited my post just at the time of you responding. Not all did go well, as seen in the last section of my last post.

Re: Update Issues: debconf

So, I foolishly inadvertently forcibly removed python3: sudo dpkg --force all --remove python3 dpkg: python3: dependency problems, but removing anyway as you requested: wajig depends on python3 (>= 3.2). python3-apt depends on python3 (>= 3.2). python3-apt depends on python3 (<< 3.3). python3-apt de...

Re: Update Issues: debconf

the key is /usr/bin/py3compile in the pkg python3 (afaik) http://packages.debian.org/wheezy/all/python3/filelist Afraid you started to lose me at this point. For what it's worth, I tried a few of the suggested. Also found this , is sudo dpkg --force all --remove safe to try? Doesn't seem the most o...

[Solved] What Speed is my Router?

Hi all,

I've recently changed ISPs, therefore have a new router. Just wondering how I can find the speed of the network port my Gigabit network card is plugged into.

Thanks :)

As far as I know it's completely 'normal'. If I need to remove any of it I'm happy to since as far as I know it's not in use.

Re: Is It Possble To Disable the Keyboard and Mouse?

Hi, Unfortunately people can just plug in USB devices again, which is where the issue lies. If they try and double click but accidently drag and click they move the folders about. I only find out about this when things stop working. I want to stop them from using the keyboard and mouse on this compu...

Is It Possble To Disable the Keyboard and Mouse?

Hi I have a computer that my family uses as a media centre. Unfortunately, people keep breaking the setup and my apparently OCD method of sorting files as they drag and drop folders into different locations with the mouse. Our phones are set up to play files through VLC remotely. Is there a way to d...

Re: Evolution Linked into Calendar in Panel?

For what it's worth, I've just set it up for Thunderbird too and still cannot work out how to set it so I can view my events in my panel's calendar. :(

Evolution Linked into Calendar in Panel?

Hi all, Back in the day when I used to use Ubuntu in my last job, we used Evolution for our email and diaries which linked into the panel of Ubuntu nicely (I think it was using Gnome). I'd like to use this function with MATE and my personal inbox. I have Evolution setup so it syncs with GMail calend...

Re: Missing RAM?

I'll try get a refund, but unfortunately I think it's a case of "it's been opened and used, no refunds".

At least that answers the question.

Thank you very much for your help :)

Re: Missing RAM?

Oops,

Major thing to miss out on information wise. I think it's 64bit (bigger number than 32bit, means it's better, right?) Should I still install those headers?

Code: Select all
