Re: Linux Mint 5 Elyssa - BETA 032 is out!

Alright Firefox has become pretty unstable. I'm not sure if its Elyssa or Firefox. Firefox seems to have a high chance of crashing upon loading a youtube or similar flash video. At least it actually kills itself unlike Darnya where it would just freeze and make me restart

Re: Linux Mint 5 Elyssa - BETA 032 is out!

Alright I installed the beta. So far its been stable except for Firefox crashing once, but that happened in Mint 4 occasionally anyways. There is one bug though. On Mint4 I could plug in my headphones and phones would come out of them and the speakers at the same time (making them useless anyways) N...

Re: Linux Mint Circles

I can't do anything now since I'm going to work soon and tonight I'll be up for ages doing homework (damn final papers). But I'll be pretty free tomorrow so thats when I'll make the KDE version. I'll make sure to offset the logo for it KDE too.

Thank you for all the positive comments.

Linux Mint Circles

Alright here are my first wallpapers for Linux mint. I got the idea after seeing the Nintendo Channel on the Wii. I used Jernau pinstripe pattern from his wallpaper Linux Mint Carbon. widescreen http://tn3-2.deviantart.com/fs30/300W/f/2008/133/8/f/Linux_Mint_Circles_Wide_by_Tithis.png standard http:...

Re: highly recommended emulator.

I used to be too but I was forced to switch. I have my Windows PC hooked up the my television and I run Maximus Arcade on it, which is a front end for multiple emulators. It presents a big list of the games with video's and screen shots, which along with my PS2 controllers makes for some good retro ...

Re: highly recommended emulator.

Right now I think the best SNES emulator for Linux is SNES9x-GTK. SNES9x already has a gnome front end but besides from being ugly its difficult to use. All it really does is change settings and launch the game. SNES9x GTK is closer to the windows version in that the gui wraps around the display win...

mintMenu search tags

As I've begun to install more apps I've been using the search function of the mintMenu more often. It works well but not I think it would become more useful with the addition of tags. The searches seem to look at the name and description of items, this is all well and good but those items do not pro...

Hi and thanks

Hello. I've been using mint on my Toshiba laptop between one and two months and after lurking for awhile I decided I should finally introduce myself. I've tried Linux before in the form of Ubuntu but it never really caught on with me. I always knew sound would be difficult to get working on my deskt...
