Re: Mint Menu Favourites "Springback"

This has now been addressed by others and there is a fix

fix here

Maybe this option could be added to the MintMenu preffs instead of hidden in gconf-editor ?

MintMenu empty trash does not empty all trash [solved]

If I have deleted stuff on an external drive (sent it to trash) and I go to empty trash in a nautilus window all trash will go. If though I have deleted stuff on an external drive and then do the empty trash from MintMenu then only local trash is deleted and trash on the external drive is not. Not t...

Re: mintMenu should always show Favorites when opened

I found a setting in gconf-editor that sets the default tab to either last open, all apps, or favs. when in gconf-editor it's under apps > mintMenu > plugins > applications and the setting is call default_tab. it's initially set to -1, which shows the menu last open. set to 0 for All Applications t...

Pidgin on all desktops

With the main Pidgin window open. If you go to another desktop Pidgin still shows in the "window list" in the panel for all desktops not just the one it is open on.

This is odd, I've found a related bug report but no fix, it's just odd behavior. Anyone else seen it?

gonna be nice :)

So I may pop into IRC but probably not.

See you when I return.

Possible bug, possible feature?

At least two of us have found we can click on MintUpdate and it just opens, no password request.

Re: Linux Mint 7 RC1 Bug Thread

I did all updates including level3 so hopefully I did not cause this... With the default look and compiz settings I have this bug "the bottom panel is configured to show only windows on the current desktop, and that generally works - except that it shows "Buddy list" window on all desktops, not just...

Re: Linux Mint 7 RC1 released!

Love it.

I know things such as boot time are inherited but it's very nice to boot so quick.

It looks great. The mix of dark yet light and useful with zwopers wet glass gives a very fresh clean welcome. Even if the main release does not have this as default I will still choose this look.

Re: Linux Mint 7 RC1 Bug Thread

EDIT: No big deal I can change it in the Mint Menu Preferences Looks good so far. The Mint Menu hotkey conflicts with super-space for starting Gnome Do. Good point. Plus I like to set a number of shortcuts with "Super key + letter" to do things so maybe have the "Super key + letter" to launch the me...

Joe asked a question about miket whereas the bot would kick for specific reasons, doop just kicks if you talk to him. Well up to him if he wants to be grumpy he will have a grumpy life :) Becca came along and got Joe unbanned but doop was very rude to her in the process Hopefully things calm down an...

Re: Gloria (un)official desktop / wallpaper

I know it's not great, but believe me the concept in my head was lovely. The idea, if someone more talented can do it, is; 1) take the look of the current default 2) use slightly curved lines, not straight 3) light it differently, using subtle colours 4) then i was going to do cool lighting behind t...

Re: Linux Mint 7 "Gloria" Fluxbox CE Wishlist & Discussion

Personally I would like to see all distros come with at least one encryption On my root account only I added the dangerous yet useful "Shred" In a root account Thunar window > Edit > Configure Custom Actions.. > Add one and call it "Shred" with the command xfce4-terminal -x shred -u %f This means t...
