Either click on the hamburger icon, top right of the screen to open the menu, click on settings, scroll to the bottom of the page and reset your preferences.
Or type chrome://settings in the address bar to open settings directly

Re: SOLVED Brave Browser in software centre is outdated since yesterday

It's amazing how much I got wrong in one go. The link in the top of the Brave homepage linked to a page with terminal instructions to install the new version in several distros with no explanation of why I would be following them. Nor any link I could find to such information. I searched in my Softw...

SOLVED Brave Browser in software centre is outdated since yesterday

I've been trying to like the Brave browser (normally I use Firefox). The version of Brave I installed from Software Manager 0.26.0.1 tells me that it is out of date and will not be updated. The icon on my Desktop is greyed out. It appears that part of the build - Muon - has been replaced, and I will...

Re: Transfer from Windows 10

I'm not sure the "Surely it will break soon" feeling ever goes away entirely. Been on LM almost 7 years now with absolutely no problems at all. Running xfce 18.3 and 19 across two laptops and a desk top, and have two friends with 18.3 desktops that I look after. No problems there either in the last ...

Re: Wifi Not Working on Linux Mint

Marianp Bearing in mind I know little about Linux but am interested to learn I like to guess what the outcome of some threads will be. (Normally I have no idea, or I'm wrong). In this case I googled 'toshiba NB200 ubuntu wifi' It seems like the advice from 2009 is make sure wifi is enabled in Window...

Frank.

Code: Select all

frank@frank ~ $ $ sudo lsmod | grep r8168
$: command not found
Too many $'s , make the command just

Code: Select all

 sudo lsmod | grep r8168
Don't know if the result will do any good, but at least it will cure the error

Re: Have I got LM19 V2 or not?

Hello again ALl41 - You'll notice that the link you suggested is the one I used. But thanks for the reminder gm10 - I hadn't downloaded LM19 before today, and the Properties of the torrent link and the iso in my download folder said they were created today. I've gone the download the iso from the Un...

Re: How to burn photos to CD?

Hi sd cougar I find the file and click on it. Opens. Shows the photos(thumb and size list). There is an "add" button on the Right, bottom of that page. When I click on that 'add' button it closes that window and closes the xfburn window Are you missing a step there? When you get as far as opening th...

Re: VLC...yep...totally stupid i am

Good to know there are two of us. If you open an album and select all the tracks by click on the first, shift click on the last, a temporary playlist is created and tracks will play in order or randomly depending on your preferences. It's possible to store the playlist with a name, and store multipl...

Re: WiFi Adpater Issues

The interface from the Roku box will follow the channel number of your wireless router. It can interfere with your connection, if the Roku is between your laptop and the router. Try turning the Roku off when you're attempting to connect.

Re: Who no longer uses Windows?

Me, since LM13. I did lots of reading before taking the plunge and installing 13 on a spare pc. I was expecting the installation to take a couple of hours, but in 15 minutes or so it said it had finished. I was then expecting to spend some hours looking for drivers for my network card and printers, ...

Re: Recommended Digital Tablet for 18.3 Cinnamon

I have a Trust TB-6300 that works well as a pointing and selection device (Right click with a button on the pen). Pressure sensitivity works too. All out of the box, but the numerous hot pads around the outside have never worked, but I've not tried hard to fix them. The main attraction was that it w...
