Re: Is Hardy Heron a bit too buggy?
I think we know the answer to the question posed by this thread now - no. It's not too buggy for mint to use its innovations, and we have the Elyssa Beta to prove it.

Re: Howto: Install Mint from a USB Pendrive/SD
Okay, I can't tell you how many times I've gone through this guide, I can't get it to work.... It never lets me mount my USB drive, the only way I can is to manually reinsert the drive... Unless I'm doing something wrong, the only thing I really differed from the guide was that I used a much newer v...

Fix Frets on Fire
The packages in the repos and the .mint file are broken; they don't contain the songs the game is supposed to come with and don't even work half the time I install them. The only way the game works right is to download the .tar.gz file from the official website.

I don't know what's wrong, but you might want to try Cairo Dock instead. I really prefer it.

I have no idea. This doesn't sound right to me; running gnome only uses about 124mb on my machine...why is it around 196mb on mint with fluxbox?

Re: tell about yourself..
Well, I'm 15, and I've used computers since I could read (when I was about four), so my first computer was a windows 95. Anyways, I had always really just used computers for games, so I built my first computer a little over a year ago, and installed windows vista. I had just learned about computer h...

Re: Elyssa-PLEASE HELP!
That will work but really all you had to do was repair grub on Daryna; sudo grub find /boot/grub/stage1 It will output a partition number, this is where Daryna should be. root hd(?,?) Of course replacing the ?'s with the number given setup (hd0) quit ---- That should do the trick. You have to do thi...

Re: Linux Mint 5 Elyssa - BETA 032 is out!
Okay, Here's my sum up of using Mint Beta for one day. I probably didn't test it as extensively as some others might have, but I'll put in my €.02... -The drivers for my GPU, a GeForce 7950 GT, didn't work in the Live CD, as they did in the Daryna Live CD. -I have to type in "noapic" every time I bo...

Gnome Settings Daemon
I log in and get this error; There was an error starting the GNOME Settings Daemon. Some things, such as themes, sounds, or background settings may not work correctly. The last error message was: Failed to connect to socket /tmp/dbus-Cx4Rqw4Bxt: Connection refused GNOME will still try to restart the...

Segmentation Fault?
I started up my computer, running Daryna, today, and nothing seems to have started right. It even got my background wrong... When I try to open nautilus or really any other program in the terminal, it says "segmentation fault", what does this mean?

You put up the wrong version of my wallpaper, just so ya know.
