Re: Keyboard & Mouse buttons lock randomly

Another piece of info. Problem never happens when the PC is left unattended. I only notice the problem when I am working with it and have my hand on the mouse. I am not sure if the problem starts with my clicking a mouse button or that is when I notice it is locked.

Re: Keyboard & Mouse buttons lock randomly

I noticed from the output that my BIOS was original. Checking the ASUS web site I see there have been 7 updates released. I have been through the whole process up to the final click of the mouse as it appears easy to upgrade with ASUS EZ Flash 2 Utility. However none of the updates address my proble...

SOLVED Keyboard & Mouse buttons lock randomly

Since installing Mint 16 64 bit(from mint 14) I have a problem with my computer locking up except the mouse pointer moves. Will work for maybe two days and then fail 3 times the next day. Mouse buttons and keyboard seem dead. Only a hard boot gets me out of it. I had a wireless mouse and keyboard an...

Mahjongg no longer keeps high scores sorted

Recently upgraded from Linux Mint Cinnamon 14 to 16. Mahjongg is upgraded from 3.6.0.2 to 3.8.0 Now when I look at Mahjongg scores (3.8.0) I see all the scores of all the games I have played in date sequence. Currently there are 20 game results listed. Under the old release (3.6.0.2) only the top 10...

Re: Nemo - can't resize column width in list view

I am having the same problem since going from Linux Mint 14 to 16, Nemo 1.1.2 to 2.0.8. Example, if displaying four columns, will not allow widening the first column if that would move the 4th column off the screen. That was not previously a restriction. Now I have to make the Nemo screen wider. Tha...

Now the Synaptic Package Manager will not start either. The Software Manager does start. I can install updates with sudo apt-get update so I am not dead in the water.

Re: Update manger quits

Found a post in askubuntu that suggested running sudo apt-get clean sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade Ran all three. upgrade was a bit scary as it seemed to be replacing everything. And there were long pauses while it waited on headers. After it finished the system still works but there are n...

On the terminal window: Num hsync: 1, Num vsync: 1 hsync range 0: 30.00 - 83.00 vsync range 0: 56.00 - 76.00 compare that to the zero values on my failing system. in the xvidtune window Horiz...

Re: Problem- Green tint monitor

I may have this problem. Last night I developed a green tint, then later the right side developed a red tint. I was sure I had a hardware problem with either the display or graphics card. I swapped the display to another identical computer running the same Mint. That computer has a different monitor...
