Have a good day and thanks for sharing! Thanks Twodogs. This is KDE 4.8.4, I used Schoelje's unofficial LMDE KDE found here. (This install...

Re: Correctly install OpenGL drivers

Are you using a 64-bit system? Wine is 32bit and you may have to install the 32bit video drivers.

Re: Invisible Mouse Pointer in Linux Mint 13 Maya (KDE) AMD6

Alt+F2 will open up a command box, type in "Cursor Theme" then enter, once the new panel appears, use Tab and the arrows keys to move selection, hint, selected panels has a blue glow around the edges, also see if your mouse is being recognized with Alt+F2 type in "Mouse". Have you checked to make su...

Could also be that those other apps are gtk and the KDE theme only applies to qt apps. You can install kde-gtk-config to make the theme more unified. sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tehnick/kde-gtk-config sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install kde-gtk-config Once installed you'll get a new category in...

Re: Install Problems.... (no install screen w/nvidia)

I tried easyBCD years ago but always had problems with it so just used grub which is included in the mint install. But having a quick look at your EasyBCD entry I noticed the the "root=/dev/sdb2" part should be "root=/dev/sdb5" if your root is at sdb5 This line here kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.32-21-ge...

Re: Install Problems.... (no install screen w/nvidia)

Nice monitors, I was nearly tempted to buy some but ended up getting the 27" Achieva Shimian for a third of the price of the Dell's, it has the same crazy 2560x1440 resolution. Anyway sounds like you are having the same problems I had, the nouvea driver can't handle the resolution also it can't seem...

Re: Chrome Version 21.0.1180.79 proxy & 'ConnectBackupJobs'

There was a bug where ConnectBackupJobs would look up IPv6 first rather than IPv4, this was suppose to be fixed recently but your problem sounds similar to this bug. Do you have IPv6 enable? You can check by entering the following in the address bar chrome://net-internals/#dns Mine is disabled and c...

Re: Unofficial LMDE KDE Live DVD: final UP4 version - 201207

Thanks Schoelje for this great distro. Its nice having a pure KDE LMDE rather that having to install KDE on top of the regular LMDE. :D

I'll test it in virtualbox and if everything goes well, I'll install it on my laptop.
