done with windows-I think!

Sailorman, When all else fails just reboot and in a worse case scenario reinstall. It takes time to learn the ins and outs of any individual linux distro. Nothing beats high end hardware. So if you are using a computer with half a gig of ram you and you are experimenting with an unfamiliar distro th...

What Killed the Linux Desktop

The headline insinuates doom and gloom.

And yet I only see a lot of interest in Linux as compared to over 5 years ago when Linux was not a realistic alternative to the casual user.

WOW!!! THANKS!

There are some forums where I could spend all day complaining about stuff.

But this is one of those places where if the tech world is really annoying I come here and I am thinking....so far so good.

WOW!!! THANKS!

With all the issues I had with Win7 I cant believe how easy it is for me to just atay focused on my work. No antivirus or defrag. It takes me about a ...

Pros and Cons of the LMDE distro

The biggest problem I have with Debian is yhe possibility it may break because of an update. I do not see the point of taking that risk. I like Linux Mint Ubuntu 13 cause all I do is backup the home directory and reinstall if I want to go back to the default. I do not know if it the ultimate in effi...
