Re: here

Well here is my contribution :D ...i actually modified some art done here with my favourite colors touch. Very nice! Maybe the "Linux Mint" logo is a bit big, or a bit too "black"... It's very "strong", I mean, it attracts much attention from the viewer. ( EDIT : I'm talking about the green ...

CD Image

Hi,
just a stupid question...

Is there an image to print on Bianca's CD?

I have a brand new Lightscribe burner, and the first Lightscribed CD would be Bianca off course :D

btw.... what's are the main differences between gnome and xfce...? Uhhh there are many... But the main one is that XFCE is really, really faster than the other ones :D No bloat, no nonsense, very very responsive. One weakness: if you want to edit the menu (add/remove launchers), it's not intuitive....

I prefer Gnome because it's a lot less cluttered than KDE. I don't like the many panels you have to open when you are searching for an app in the K menu. It's confusing. KDE is also a little heavier than Gnome on the hardware, and it's too much Win-like for my tastes. Also, I hate all the K's spread...

I immediately add another panel on the top of the screen and put there mintMenu, Firefox starter, Quit button, a 4-screen Pager and the Clock. I like it much better. Then, I install nvidia drivers with Envy, add gThumb, Acrobat Reader and The Gimp, reduce screen font size to 8 and that's it. I used ...

Wow Carlos you always amaze me... Of the first group of logos, I agree with the "iron" theory  I mean, I like it, but it does not suggests a leaf at first sight. I love the "fist" idea; yes, it could look like thai or burmese, but not to the eyes of many people, I think (maybe just Cle...

1440x900 support

I recently bought the Acer AL1916W, a 19" LCD with a max resolution of 1440x900. It's really cool, but on LinuxMint I must stop at 1280x800

My graphic adapter is a GeForce 7300SE, and I installed the nVidia drivers with Envy on Bianca.

Any clue?

Also wanted to let everyone know - for those who (like me, at least, in the beginning) have had some issue or another with these iso's - at work, i dl'd the "penguin" site's ISO *once*, burned it *once*, and it worked perfectly from the get go. Quote. It's been the same for me; everything went flaw...
