I would like to see xmms as the default player for shoutcast .pls files. Currently MPlayer is what the browser tries to bring up. Xmms is small and light and can be easily skinned.

Very interesting reading! My new HP Pavillion a1723w came with Vista Home Premium pre-loaded. The Vista load lasted all of 10 minutes before I permanently wiped out the bloated, slow and annoying operating system! (My opinion.) My Wife's new Accer laptop also came with Vista Home Premium. My Wife is...

My veiws on artwork and Linux.

I just wanted to voice my opinions on art and Linux. I think one of the most appealing aspects LinuxMint has is it's artwork. Artwork and attention to detail are important when it comes to getting someone to try Linux. The Mac OS developers obviously realized the importance of how their OS looked, i...

Another vote for Brasero. Looks and works great!

K3b has a habit of breaking every other release, at least that has been my experience.

Screensaver idea

Is it possible to use the Mint logo in the "Floating Ubuntu" screensaver? Change the name to "Floating Mint"?

I think it would look really nice and add to the polish of the OS.

OpenOffice Splash?

Has anyone made an OpenOffice splash for Mint 3.0? The Ubuntu one looks out of place with the other artwork. I am using the Gimp splash posted in this forum, it really looks good and compliments the overall look of the OS. These little touches all add up to a very polished look for Mint. Mint is one...

Questions about Cassandra?

Is it possible to use the Gnome Main Menu in Cassandra? I am currently running Ubuntu Feisty but am seriously considering Mint because it looks so much better. There is nothing wrong with the Mint Menu, I just like the Suse style. Has anyone tried this? If anyone has tried this could they post a scr...
