Just checked and I have gtk-engine 1:2.10.1. You might try removing and re-installing the package. I do not have the problem on my system, but this might make a good starting point.

Are all of your packages up to date? If I remember there was an updated package for gtk2 themes not long ago.

How did you come up with your user name?

My user name goes back to when I drove a 1991 Ford Explorer. The Explorer had around 260,000 miles on it and the whole bottom of the truck had rusted away. Also someone had ran into the back of the Explorer and bent the passenger side rear fender and hatch so bad the insurance company considered it ...

I like the development plan. I still think the new logo in the upper right corner would be nice. Just my two cents.

I looked in the "Control Center" on my system under "Preferred Applications" and for "Mail Reader" the only choice is Mozilla Thunderbird. So deleting the above mentioned packages should do the trick.

Mark Shuttleworth does make some interesting points.

To me patenting ideas would be like patenting thoughts. The patent laws need revised in the area of software.

Try removing these packages, it should eliminate the association with Evolution.

I would like to see xmms as the default player for shoutcast .pls files. Currently MPlayer is what the browser tries to bring up. Xmms is small and light and can be easily skinned.

Very interesting reading! My new HP Pavillion a1723w came with Vista Home Premium pre-loaded. The Vista load lasted all of 10 minutes before I permanently wiped out the bloated, slow and annoying operating system! (My opinion.) My Wife's new Accer laptop also came with Vista Home Premium. My Wife is...

My veiws on artwork and Linux.

I just wanted to voice my opinions on art and Linux. I think one of the most appealing aspects LinuxMint has is it's artwork. Artwork and attention to detail are important when it comes to getting someone to try Linux. The Mac OS developers obviously realized the importance of how their OS looked, i...

Another vote for Brasero. Looks and works great!

K3b has a habit of breaking every other release, at least that has been my experience.
