Re: Fonts after upgrade

The simplest is to execute all the line starting by ln -S one by one as this in a terminal : sudo ln -S .... OR : you can copy the text in a file, and save it let say on the desktop as "file.sh". Then you need to make this file executable : in a terminal type sudo chmod a+x /desktop/file.sh Then cd ...

frezze after sleep mode use [solved --> Nvidia 302.xx pb]

Hello, I have upgraded to UP5 sooner in the week and I have installed Cinnamon 1.6 and Nemo. I have deleted Nautilus. Everything is working fine excepted that I can't recover anymore from the sleep mode. I was using it everyday with Cinnamon 1.4 and UP4. Now when I want to wake up my laptop, the scr...

Re: Update pack info question

You have the latest UP installed in your system. What you're considering as a warning is the information about the pack. The most important information is :

Code: Select all

Current pack available : 5
Latest UP used.... :5
That's perfect ;)

Re: UP5: update from UP3 / question regarding Gnome

Ok, first you're not using windows so... you're not obliged to reboot after upgrading. So you can install cinnamon, log out and log in cinnamon ;) Cinnamon is a fork of gnome-shell. If you prefer gnome-shell you can still use it after up5. It will not be uninstalled. It's just that the new Mint iso ...

Re: UP5: update from UP3 / question regarding Gnome

Waouuuhhhh in a rolling release distro that's never a good idea to stay a long time without updating... It's a big step from UP3 to UP5... You can use the Update Manager to upgrade. It's really safe. If you prefer apt-get dist-upgrade would be fine. At the end of the upgrade you can install cinnamon...

Re: UPDATE PACK 5 FEEDBACK THREAD

Happened to see this thread while googling for other stuff, so I'm gonna complain :D [...] So openSUSE is getting installed this weekend, kinda sucks that I'm leaving LMDE on a sour note. You had to install mint-meta-debian-cinnamon and mint-meta-debian-mate at the end of the process of upgrading. ...

Re: [SOLVED] Re: Cinnamon broken after system update

I've chosen Linux Mint because I wanted to reduce the time I have to spent to maintain my OS in comparission to Gentoo which I used before. When I first read about Linux Mint it was said that it's easy to use and almost everything works out of the box. Until now this was perfectly true for me and I...

Re: with cinnamon upgrade came new window manager

The problem is that you don't have the right sources.list file before using the mirror chooser... then you don't have the good sources.list file after the choose whatever is the mirror chosen. Just replace your sources.list file by the one given ahead. Use the mirror chooser and... edit : ok ...
