How do I check which version of Flash player I have?

Greetings,
How do I go about checking which version of Flash player I have (which is embedded in Mozilla Firefox web-browser)?
I'm running Linux Mint 17.1 Cinnamon edition on a Dell laptop with Mozilla Firefox version 37.0.2

Also; how do I know if I have the latest version installed?

Thank you

Re: Is there a way to back-date to an earlier version?

Gosh even Microsoft corporation with it's crappy Windblows eventually figured out their OS sucked and decided to include a "rollback" feature so the user could "roll it back to an earlier date when it worked properly". Maybe Linux Mint needs a feature similar to this

Is there a way to back-date to an earlier version?

Greetings, I just recently upgraded my Linux Mint install from version 17.0 to 17.1 and now that I have been running this modest update for a little while now, I think I'm beginning to detect some sluggishness and mild sticking problems I wasn't experiencing with the earlier version (particularly wi...

Linux Mint Debian Edition 2 soon being released as "stable"

Greetings, In a previous post someone replied to one of my questions about Linux Mint Debian Edition 2 and said that it is currently in Debian Testing phase and that in a few weeks it would be released as Debian Stable. I was not aware of this and I'm glad to hear that it will be moving over to a "s...

Linux Mint needs a printed user's manual

I have been happily using Linux Mint for some time now. However, there is one thing that it is missing that I wish it had, and that is a nice printed user's manual written specifically just for it. A hard copy book that teaches user's how to use the operating system is what it is sorely lacking in m...

Re: What version of Linux Mint am I using?

thank you, that worked. It says:
Linux Mint 17 Qiana

However, on Distrowatch I see that it says that 17.1 Rebecca is the latest version. How do I update to "Rebecca" from my "Qiana"?

Need recommendations for a Firefox browser add-on

Greetings, My old Firefox browser add-on which was a YouTube video downloader stopped working (it was called "DownloadHelper") and I can't get to work anymore. So I've decided to try to uninstall it and either re-install it or try a different video downloader instead. In case I can't get it working ...

Re: Why do files and folders get deleted when I move them?

Typically I'll right click on a blank spot on my desktop. Then I'll select "create new folder" in the drop down menu. Then I'll open this new folder.. Move it or resize it on the desktop. Then I'll open an already existing folder on my desktop with files in it. Drag and drop the selected file (or ev...

Re: Where is the trash can located in Linux Mint?

It might help a bit if I said what I'm running.

I'm running the cinnamon edition. I'm not sure which version. but it's one of the newer versions. This current install is about a year or two old and it's up to date.

Why do files and folders get deleted when I move them?

Greetings,
Why is it that when I transfer files or folders from an old folder to a new folder and then try to delete the files or folders in the old location it also deletes them in the new folder as well? Old versions of MS Windows never had this problem. How come Linux Mint does?

Re: Can I run a video player inside a console session?

I'm not comfortable working with the command line just yet. I am considering migrating all my normal GUI tasks that I normally use in the GUI over into the text-only environment of Console/Terminal. One of the uses I have on my computer is watching streaming video's from the internet, so I was wanti...
