Thunderbird 31.0 issues, sort order not remembered

Geting a little nuts from the latest Thunderbird version 31.0 in LM17 mate. In LM13 Thunderbird always started in it's inbox but I can't get it to work in 17, what is the problem? Also my sorting order in the inbox is always on incoming date, the latest on top. When I set my sorting preference like ...

Re: Brasero hasn't worked, for years

And again in LM17 removed Brasero which failed again and installed K3b.
It is still the best option out there and always does the trick correctly.

Thanks for the replies but both replies don't answer my question.

Radiotray station for Rock, Blues Rock and Southern Rock?

Does anybody has a bookmark list which contains stations for rock, blues rock and southern rock? I'm trying to find stations but the ones I really like, 98 Rock and the Bone from the Tampa Bay area, are not available for radiotray. Can anybody post a list or some manual stations preferably from Flor...

Congrats and thank you!

May I say a big THANK YOU for the Mint team with especially those working on the Mate project. Still have 13 Mate (Maya) running on another disc but already installed 17 Mate, like always it runs smooth however I still have some fine tuning to do for my own needs. I tried to make a side step to Soly...

Re: Linux Mint 13 MATE seems laggy

I have to agree on this. I upgraded from Mint 9 (Isadora) which was a perfect responsive Mint version. Due to upcoming end of support (April '13) I decided to upgrade to Mint 13 Mate. I love the OS and I am very thankful with the developers but I really don't like the slow boot time. XP boots fully ...

Re: Printing from Mint to XP connected USB printer HP Deskje

Maybe very stupid but to view printers.conf I have to use the vi command right? Since all I get to see is an almost empty basic printers.conf file. update: Just discovered that the whole que on the XP printer was filled with 12 jobs coming from Mint. I had to dump all in the spooler with a MS script...

Re: Linux disappointed me

Well I have a little idea where he is talking about but then years ago. Starting with Red Hat to figure out what was Linux and how it worked. A colleague was nuts about Suse and was playing around with it in the office. I bought Linux for Dummies to at least get an idea how I even had to install RH ...

Linux Mint newbie

Hi all I'm Erwin and I live in the Netherlands and installed yesterday Mint 9 (Isadora) Gnome. Reason I choose this install is I had lots of problems to get my NVIDIA Geforce FX5500 to work in Pinguy OS. After reading I found a post that Mint 9 is working perfectly so that's what I did. Install went...
