Re: backup Ten terabytes of data???
As you say, getting more hard drives is going to cost you a fair amount. This also doesn't solve the problem of losing the drives, theft or something like damage in a fire. As Dataman said, online storage will still cost a fair bit for that amount. However, I did read about a service called Backblaz...

Re: General graphical problems - Radeon X1950pro
Hey, I noticed in your other topic you said you solved the install problem by adding 'radeon.modeset=0' Are you still adding this in when booting? I had issue with my graphics card where I needed to edit the commands to get it to install. But I also needed to add the commands when booting up. When y...

[Solved] Are there any Alpha/Beta phases for Linux Mint?
Hi I was wondering if there are any public testing phases for Linux Mint releases (Alpha/Beta). I can only find Release Candidates, so I'm guessing this is for people to test and then the final is released about a week later? I know in Ubuntu, after a final release, only critical/crash bugs are fixe...

Linux Mint is so awesome, I'm going to sponsor it :)
I've been using Ubuntu since 10.04 and been testing 12.10 for the last few months. I'm an avid fan of Ubuntu/Canonical and think they do a great job. Introducing Unity was always going to be a big decision and cause controversy. But I admire their commitment to move forward and do what they thought ...

Re: Security and Privacy compared to Canonical Ubuntu
Since I plan to use it for everyday usage I hope this will be at least as secure and private like ubuntu/xubuntu was.. Linux Mint is based on Ubuntu so the security is the same anyway I guess there is nothing more changed in the browsers or the OS what could harm the privacy.. You could always remo...
