Re: Nautilus File Share

Don't know if it helps but this is my fstab pointing at an NTFS data partition but using a label instead of UUID

Code: Select all

LABEL=500-data       /home/user/500-data   ntfs-3g  defaults,uid=1000         0      0

Re: recordmydesktop and Istanbul not recording audio

This lnk might help you http://thistleweb.co.uk/screencast/linux/gtk-recordmydesktop

I also seem to remember adding padsp before recordmy desktop "padsp recordmydesktop" it wasn't written for pulse and I think that enables it.

Re: recordmydesktop and Istanbul not recording audio

You should have a pulse audio volume control in the multimedia menu, if you run that when your recording there is a record tab in the volume control screen where you can set things.
If you don't have the pulse audio volume control then install pavucontrol

Re: how to install Remastersys Program

If you can create another partition of say 20 GB or you have an external drive/USB maybe even a 16 GB stick then look at this one http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=197&t=89189 it works OK. Instead of an installable ISO it zips up all your drive but if you need to reinstall you either n...

Re: How to dual boot on Windows 7 ? [un-solved]

Glad it was helpful.
When you right click on the partition you want to install to I would always choose "Edit" and format the partition as well.

My Windows was on sda1, I need it for some software.

This is a video I done for installing Ikey's SolusOS but I think it uses the same installer and you might get some ideas from it.

Re: Remastersys type app

So, am I correct in stating that to successfully restore a backup from salineos-backup, you need to boot a live disc (presumably on the computer you're trying to restore) and run salineos-backup from within that live distro to properly re-image the hard drive with the backup file previously created...

2 Remastersys type apps

Salineos-backup creates an installable file that can be bigger than the 4 GB maximum that remastersys supports I only run the standard Linux video drivers and have no problems, if you are reinstalling your backup to a different machine it might be wise to disable any proprietary video drivers you ha...

I'm using 4.6.2 on SalineOS which does everything I need but Wheezy looks promising.
I thought you enhanced Thunar with custom actions?
