I consider the Cinnamon file manager (Nemo) to be much better than the Mate file manager (Caja). That is one of the deciding factors for me.

Any reason you can see for *not* going SSD for boot 'n swap? I have my root partition on a 128GB SSD, and the swap partition on the big HDD.
