Re: Problems i encountered

the command sudo timedatectl set-local-rtc 1 will work now, but when you installed linux mint 21 it used UTC time and changed your BIOS. you need to go into bios and change time there first. that is one of the most annoying useless linux features changing time to UTC. everytime i boot a live linux ...

Re: How to list all installed applications?

this may help or not, is a list of all applications with a .desktop file only. many other binaries are not listed but maybe they were built from source. it's basically just a dump from application folders sed -ns '1F;/^\[Desktop Entry\]/,/^\[/{/^Name=/p;/^Exec=/h};${z;x;G;p}' /usr/share/applications...

Re: SnookerQ AppImage doesn't launch

launching appimage in terminal gives no output error to follow. what i usually do is extract appimage and then find the executable. in this case you can try this. in terminal where your .appimage is do ./SnookerQ-0.1.678-x86_64.AppImage --appimage-extract that will extract your appimage and here it...

ok i will try this i don't know why mint keeps TOR in their repos if not updated, i would not use the package in repo. sounds like your ISP is actively blocking acces to TOR. change your DNS and reboot or use a vpn browser addon to bypass ISP what do you get in Terminal with this: wget https://www....

this will give you dialog of what /root UUID /dev is booted and boot parameters from /etc/default/grub

Code: Select all

cat /proc/cmdline
this will give you current system UUID for /ROOT

Code: Select all

cat /etc/fstab
compare the two that you have the same UUID. you can check UUID with gnome-disks

you're trying to use nitroshare for transfer files between linux and windows? a .tar file is not install file but a .zip file you rightclick and extract.
but i would use warpinator available for windows and linux
https://winpinator.swisz.cz/ for windows
in linux mint apt install warpinator

sounds like your ISP is blocking your DNS queries, and probably even if you find a way to download tor you still may not be able to use it. change your DNS, reboot and download tor from official site.

what do you get in Terminal for this:

Code: Select all

cat /etc/resolv.conf
