I'm no expert on Samba and have no experience with KDE, but have you tried Browse Network in your file manager?

I dont use Mate but I think this works there as well:

Right click on the clock and select Properties

I just saw, that there is a difference to the behavior in comparison with LM 17.x. In LM 17.x you could only upgrade to the latest available version, now to the next higher version. Sadly the upgrade info makes believe, that the upgrade gets also from LM 18 done directly to LM 18.2. That was why I ...
