Re: remove Ubuntu from dual booting PC
And afterwards, you should resize the remaining Mint partition,
because after deleting the Ubuntu partition,
you will have a lot of free space ready to be used for Mint.

LM 19.2 MATE 64bit - Not properly translated
I'm running a German Mint MATE with kernel x86_64 Linux 5.0.0-23-generic and I just upgraded from LM 19.1 MATE 64bit to LM 19.2 MATE 64bit by means of the according option of the update manager, but I found issues right after the next reboot. In the context menu of Caja there's an option to create a...

LM 19.1 MATE 64bit - How to remove wifi driver properly?
I tried several rtl8812au wifi drivers for my TP-Link adapter, type "TP-Link - Archer T4U, AC1300". It has this ID: 2357:010d To clean up everything, I did locate rtl8812 and removed everything I found, except this one /lib/firmware/rtl_bt/rtl8812ae_fw.bin because this seems to be a BT dri...

How can I install the character-map?
I don't have a "Right-Alt", only the left one.
And that's the upper small 2, but I'm looking for the lower one.

Sorry to disagree, but I used to run that tool absolute flawlessly on several versions of Mint, as long as they were based on Ubuntu 16.04.
It just refused to get installed for distros based on Ubuntu 18.04 because of the abandoned gksu.

[Solved] LM 19.1 MATE 64bit - How to really install ClipGrab using the appimage?
On my Mint, there's ClipGrab 3.8.2 installed by means of this PPA.
Meanwhile, there's an appimage of ClipGrab 3.8.3 available.
But how can I install this one, as if it was an ordinary app and not as an appimage, please?

Re: LM 19.1 MATE 64bit - How to install Open Visual Traceroute?
Thank you!
I will try that as soon as possible.
But this leads me to the question, why on earth is gksu abandoned before an adequate alternative can be offered (no, pkexec is none!)?

LM 19.1 MATE 64bit - How to reduce gab in the taskbar?
At the lower edge of my LM 19.1 MATE 64bit, I have the quick launch section, the tasks section and the tray section. At the right edge of the quicklaunch I have a separator and next to it there's the 1st task of the window list. But the problem is, I there's an empty gab between the separator and th...

Re: MediathekView crashes right after start [SOLVED]
In this case, it's a bit difficult to tell who's "the bad guy", I guess. On the one hand, there are the app developers, who want to offer all so far available themes (well, as far as I remember, this is all about the themes), but on the other hand, there are the Ubuntu developers, w...

Re: Can't run AppImage programs
Did you just double-click that AppImage file (this is how you start this kind of file, usually)?
Did you make it executable?
If it doesn't help:
What about another AppImage?
Maybe this one is broken?

Code: Select all
chmod +x ./*.AppImage
