Happy now?

Re: After update and reboot, no nemo-desktop
You're welcome. I may not be able to always explain why a point I made may make sense, but there is someone else here who always can from experience. If you know you're bad at making a point then maybe let the one who HAS the experience do the talking! Because maybe the person who asks help is in a...

Re: After update and reboot, no nemo-desktop
Pardon if I'm off base here, but it just sounds like you're trying to complicate the crap out of Linux Mint with an odd combination of ingredients to make some sort of new experimental salad *shrugs* Seriously? Re: After update and reboot, no cinnamon-session
Well... seems that cinnamon (not -session) was removed also! (why?????) I installed cinnamon again and now i see my panels, conky windows on my second screen, but no desktop icons.. (right)click does nothing! Nemo browser icon does nothing, so i think nemo-desktop is the problem at this point (again...

Re: [Reopened] Stack Inotifywait events in an array (skip first few posts)
Nope still not working properly.. i'm now searching for a systemd option or cron job to restart the script every day at 7. 2 exits were still in there for testing purpose (under the call to overlay_error) the rest are exits out of bad behavior. I went back to my old script because that was the best ...

Re: [Reopened] Stack Inotifywait events in an array (skip first few posts)
I spend almost the whole day to find out how i can append to an array inside a loop. Seems impossible because a 'while-do' runs in a subshell and does not see the append to that array. So i gave that up.. Now i dump all the events in a tempfile and read them one by one. But now i run into a problem ...

Re: [Reopened] Stack Inotifywait events in an array (skip first few posts)
The problem with inotifywait is one thing. I guess you are trying hard to build a self-reset script, instead of using infinite loop. I don't know why. "infinite" I mean that the loop will always be executed. It working like --monitor option from inotifywait --> it never stops running. Wha...
