Re: THE MINT CAFE

Cassandralounge.jpg I would never believe that the Mint Lounge would be so empty :( What happened fellows? The economic crisis could not be the cause, I believe. :( Come on and fill up the place. Drinks will be on the house  ( LinuxMint's budget is getting better, I hear) :D Keep in touch and ...

Re: MINT SUCCESS AND THE SPIRIT OF GNU

Hi Ken, Not at all crowded in 2006 indeed. Even Clem was part of the gang then. What fun! Anyway, he predicted himself that he would lose touch as the crowd was getting larger. Can't blame him. That's to be expected. Have a good summer. I'll be leaving the city soon, to enjoy the peace and quiet of ...

Re: MINT SUCCESS AND THE SPIRIT OF GNU

Hello my Mint friends everywhere. Did I ever mention how I discovered Mint, long ago? In the beginning there was Ubutu. As a newbie, I kept struggling with it and liked it a lot. But I aways went crazy when the resolution kept jumping to the lowest possible one when restarting my PC. (Even if at tim...

Re: THE MINT HOUSE AT PRESENT

The Mint House can be barely seen on the top left corner of the picture, on the hill :)
Only a few lights can be seen, of course. The place has been abandoned by the Count who has run away hiding somewhere
to avoid an arrest for his tremendously high debts. :(

Re: THE MINT CAFE AT PRESENT

The MintBar.jpg Come and get your drink before the remaining stock is completely depleted, folks. :) Lack of interest in the Cafe's activities on the part of our clients has forced the establishment to take severe austerity measures. :( No special funds are being alloted for the operation of the Ca...

Re: MINT SUCCESS AND THE SPIRIT OF GNU

How true!
One good reason that I like Linux is the fact that I can experiment with it. It makes me feel that I am participating.
That's what I would call Linux democracy.

Cheers, Wouter_db :)

Re: THE MINT HOUSE

You're right Ken, the place has been abandoned by all the ghosts. Some of them have moved to an island called Cyprus, they tell me. But anyway, we will start a spring cleaning session on April fools' day. As for the Easter egg hunting, no dice; no eggs left in the chicken coop. Even the chickens are...

Re: THE MINT CAFE

Thanks my compadre. Erin Go Bragh! :) A Happy St. Patrick's Day to you too, Mate :) Just got back from the outdoors where my wife and I went looking for a four-leaf clover. No luck! The rabits were there before us. By the by chap, the beer was delicious but couldn't manage it all. I shared it with t...

Re: THE MINT CAFE

Well Ken, The MintBar stock has been depleted since the last time you were there. We need a bartender too. :) It was unfortunate that you had to quit the job. We can't find any good bartenders to work for just a glass of beer and peanuts The economic crisis has hit the Mint Cafe too. And though you ...

Re: THE MINT CAFE

Some good news at last for Americans! Assuming one has a job: "After a mere five minutes on the job, an American worker has earned enough money to be able to buy a beer. We’re #1!" Hello Ken, This is good news indeed. :) But how long does it take him to get back on the job after he's had ...
