I'm happy to see that Mint will package Thunuderbird and not go with Ubuntu's snaps. Wondering though what Mint will do in the future as ubuntu goes more and more to snap packaging?

If your using Rufus to burn the usb. It's been problematic for a while. You can use Ventoy as recommended or download and use Etcher It's never failed me in burning good usb's. https://etcher.balena.io

what is the software extention? that is what's after the (.) in the file names? if it's and .iso you will have to use an .iso burner such as mints disk writer or Etcher. If it's anything else you should be able to copy using the file manager. Make sure the usb stick is formatted to NTFS or Fat32. Go...
