State of things with KDE CE?

Postby 67GTA » Mon Jun 30, 2008 12:03 pm

The main version (Elyssa) is following Ubuntu as far as LTS. I also like the backports idea Clem introduced to keep the current LTS updated over the next three years. I know it would be next to impossible to keep KDE 3.5.9 in production for the next three years, so I'm pretty sure there won't be a Mint 5 KDE LTS release given the current state of KDE in general. Will we try to have a KDE LTS release in the future when things settle down?

We will try to make it as LTS as we can, but as you may know Kubuntu does not have a LTS
PS - tell you a secret (You can read it in this weeks newsletter :))
I think the first Elyssa KDE beta is just round the corner
