Multimedia codecs shipped with Mint KDE CE

Postby umarzuki » Sun Dec 28, 2008 8:48 am

Does KDE CE shipped with _all_ multimedia codecs such as w32codecs? I'm asking this because my hard disk is not usable anymore and I just found hat KDE interesting.

The answer is yes - but if your hard disk is not usable any more that would not matter
So what do you really mean with "hard disk is not usable anymore"?

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it

Yes, I did, sometimes it hangs and even if it works, it loads the apps very slowly. Jerking might be more suitable to express the situation. the hard disk has been used for more than 3 years without utilizing SMART and I often hard rebooted it during my windows days.

Kindly check command below if it has the same output with i means installed if any of you who reading this is currently using live CD.

Code: Select all

debguy:~# aptitude search w32codecs
i   w32codecs                                                              - win32 binary codecs

Return to “KDE”
