Will there be KDE 4.2 for Mint?

Postby bouncing blob » Tue Jan 06, 2009 2:32 pm

Hi! I'm trying to find a good Linux distribution for me, and Mint looks really nice, but I have one question... Will it be possible to get KDE 4.2 for Mint when it gets released?

Cool, thanks! So I'll get Mint 6 when it's out :) And it seems that the wiki is outdated, because it says that Mint 6 will have KDE 4.1 http://linuxmint.com/wiki/index.php/KDE_F.A.Q.

Will there be packages for the regular (Gnome) Mint? Since KDE 4.2 looks very interesting, I want to try it out without installing a new system.

Yeah, I'm quite impressed with 4.2

Using it now with Slackware 12.2

You could take this thread as an answer, I think:
viewtopic.php?f=109&t=21196

But try out the LiveDVD, so you don't have to install a new system...

Sorry about that.
I am attempting to manage the KDE section of the wiki, but I keep forgetting about it.

I have updated that bit, if anyone has any sugestions as to what to add to the wiki tell me.

Tim
