Meda Player Problem

Postby drcfisher » Wed Jan 21, 2009 4:22 pm

When I go to the athletics site for my school, when I try to watch the video player I get an error message that I have an old version of Windows Media Player. I am not sure why Firefox doesn't call up the MPlayer instead. Is there anything I can do? I really like to watch games on this site when I am out of town, but cannot. Here is a link to the site, just choose any video and you can see what I am talking about: http://www.meangreensports.com/ViewArti ... CLID=68717 Thanks! Chris

Thanks Boo for confirming.

I take it that the lack of specific suggestions to fix this implies that there are none at the moment?

What you can do is tell your school to actually bother making it Linux compatible. When Windows starts failing, the people that dismissed Linux are pretty much going to lose out.

Through quiet reflection, and great dedication
Master the art of karate,
Lo, we shall rise up,
And then we'll make the bugger's eyes water.
