Trackpad on laptop too sensitive!

Postby DavidS » Wed Aug 05, 2009 12:51 am

The trackpad is too sensitive and every time I type my palms ride about 1 -2 inch of clearance and I find the cursor jumping around and find
myself typing in undesired areas or large amounts of text being highlighted. Then you know... the very next key you hit... BAM! Text GONE!

I wish there was a desktop widget of some sort to have the option to shut the trackpad off while typing.
OR if typing, program in some kind of a delay for like a second or so. If you hit a key, a second delay applies to the trackpad and deactivates
the sensor.

Just an idea...

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it

Hi Husse, sorry it's taking me a bit to get back to ya... I've actually been very busy and haven't been logging into Linux as of late.
I will get to hopefully this weekend. Thanks for sharing!!
