mint-meta-xfce

Post by sambler »

Hello,

I am using the standard version of Gloria and would like to try out the Gloria XFCE desktop without reinstalling. Are there plans to post a mint-meta-xfce package to the repositories? There's already a mint-meta-kde package available.

Thanks in advance.

it's currently in the community repository, which you can enable in Synaptic > Settings > Repositories
If you have a question that has been answered and solved, then please edit your original post and put a [SOLVED] at the end of your subject header
Hint - use a google search including the search term site:forums.linuxmint.com

Sorry to be a pain, but being a complete newbie, exactly how do I select the repositry, >settings>repositries>add just asks me for stuff I don't understand?

Please open Synaptic Package Manager -> Settings -> Repositories - Third Party Software tab, and enable (check) all of the repos that have http://packages.linuxmint.com/ gloria, apply, close the window, then use the reload button . . . :)
