Linux Mint Cast in English coming soon (by me)

Post by katasuka » Sat Oct 06, 2007 4:34 am

Well, didn't realize this sub-forum was here till just a moment ago. I'm going to be moving from Texas to California on the 16th of October but before I go I'm going to try to do a Linux Mint Cast for October. Once I'm back out in California and get all set up, I will likely do another. The next one (after the first) might be before the end of October, but may be early November.

Well, anyone have any ideas on topic that should be covered in the first (english) Linux Mint cast? I'll be working on a script and will get it arranged and sorted once complete.

So far I'm thinking about these topics:
* A little about how this is the first Linux Mint Cast
* A little history on Linux Mint
* The current state of Linux Mint
* How Linux Mint differs from other common distros
* Some of the cool features of Linux Mint
* A little about the Linux Mint Forum
* A little about donating to Linux Mint if you can and enjoy the work done on Linux Mint.
* A little about torrent seeding until good set of mirrors is set up.
* A little about the Linux Mint Folding @ Home Team and Folding @ Home

The above is in no particular order. Any other ideas? The above might cover 15-30 minutes, I'd like to shoot for an hour maybe since it is the first (english) Mint Cast ;-)

Spot about Linux Mint Folding@Home team, what it is, what it does and requires new members as there currently are only 7 taking on the rest of the world and his mates. All other pleas seem to have fallen on deaf ears. :D

this may sound retarded, but what is this linux mint folding @ home? This is the first I've heard about it.
