how do i upgrade bea to bianca?

Postby brenda » Tue Feb 20, 2007 9:50 am

Hi Clem and all you good folks at LinuxMint. I came across the distro about a month ago, and fell in love with it. I am a learner at the desktop and an even newer learner at the CLI. I am an old dos hack and a user of winxp mostly. However I have a linuxmint machine with Bea on it and dont know where the repository is to upgrade to Bianca? Any assitance to achieve that would be greatfully received.

cheers
brenda
ps i have downloaded Bianca to burn a CD to spread the word about this great distro!!

I would not use quite that strong a term, but it is useful yes

I *did* have to download the ISO a second time, even though the MD5 checked out ok the first time around...after that it was ok. This is from the USA mirror.

Since I first started messing with Ubuntu I have learned it's best to burn Linux distros at 2x or 4x to avoid install issues.

On an unrelated note I submitted Bianca's release to digg :) hopefully it won't backfire with the site getting dugg to death :?

last week i burned the Bea iso on my mac and burned at high rate and no issues.

I just bruned iso from american site and burned at high speed but my new laptop isn't in yet to try to see the success or failure.

I hope it is a good CD Burn now that others are having some trouble.

Dod not stop either just plugged along on the download.
